Answers to Emperor Alejandro III

Post by Grand Duke Henry on Tue May 27, 2008 8:56 pm

The Chief Counsel to the Defence, Romardian Lord Chancellor Prince Rinaldo Visconti, stands to give his verdict on the matter of the Three Alejandrian Charges against Ravenburg-Morovia. Dapper and suave in appearence, Visconti also looks battered from the tribulations of the Sex Scandal that he was embroiled in shortly before the March War (as Romardia calls it). (This was a rarity amongst such scandals: the prince was not accused of infidelity, but rather too much fidelity in Royal Council Chambers.)

"Members of the Court," begins Prince Visconti, "it is my firm legal view that, following its Trial for the so-called 'Berro-Madhavian Offences', the Government in question should be tried once again before the Duetarian Court for the (I must add utterly fictitious) offences that it is accused of by Emperor Alejandro III. Thank you Niccolò."

This last comment was to Prince Visconti's demure twenty-nine year-old son, Niccolò, who passes him a Macchiato. The prince sips it elegantly, before continuing.

"The only way to dispell any possible pro-Alejandrian bias in the second trial is to remove it from the jurisprudentiary control of Nagadoches - who is, after all, to be the Prosecution. Rather, I propose three new judges in the second trial; namely Chancellor Velloratus of Gracania, Premier Eulenburg of Darmsburg-Gotha and Chairman Kefauver of Scarlet Sky. Finally, I propose also that this trial take place from Sunday 8 June onwards."

APOLOGY

Post by Alexandros I Imperator on Wed May 28, 2008 12:17 am

The Nagadochian prosecution today stands ashamed. "We have made an error-" says the young and inexpirienced Lord Wilson. "The Ministry of the Interior reported to our Congress, without doubt that indeed the Lindt chocolates were poisoned by Ravenburg-Morovia. It was under this that our Government held Ravenburg-Morovia responsible of the charges of assassinating a foreign head of state and of violating section 18." The young Lord Wilson clears his throat. "However, by an almost fateful error, our Congressional President confused the Lindt chocolates that had killed my father, for his own box. Nothing happened. On this basis, we find that either the President is immune to poison, or a judgmental error was conducted. We are deeply ashamed for the gaffe, and apologize. Until further investigation is carried on the box of chocolates, the above mentioned two charges are droppd, pending on further notice. On this basis, and the element of being practical, we ask Secretary-General Cliff to prosecute the "crimes against humanity crimes" for us. Should he fail us, His Boronic Majesty would be most happy to host the court in His Boronic Chemical Palace of various scientifical wrong doings.

Buisness elsewhere

Post by Secretary-General Cliff on Wed May 28, 2008 12:27 am

Secretary-General Cliff rises once more from his seat:

"As the Emperor has already told you, I will now depart for a period of several days (wednesday-saturday in all probability). In this period I wish that the Emperor lead the prosecution. Good Night."

With that Cliff leaves the court, saying "The Emperor surely is the right man for the job".

the prosecton announces that if it pleases the court, we will act similarly to the defence and abstain from all prosecuting action untill the annual Kessler Ebereich Standard Exams are over, from the 8th June 2008. The witnesses remains the same, although I may decide to add upon further reflection and advise:
I) The Right Honourable Captain Green representing the state of Greenoland
II) His Excellency Ambassador Wilson, Lord Kingsdown representing the state of Nagadoches

Departing Message

Post by Grand Duke Henry on Wed May 28, 2008 4:51 pm

The Court Members begin to file out, chatting and laughing. Dieter Hochkatzenburg shakes King Wake's hand.

"I look forward to this business's swift resolution, My King," he says amicably.

"I shall see you on the sixth then, Dieter," replies the king. The Courtroom is at length empty, and its adjournment in effect.

HANG ON ONE MOMENT

Post by Grand Nomad Lloyd on Fri May 30, 2008 5:08 pm

As the court leaves an abhorently outraged Grand Nomad Lloyd stumbles into the court room.

'I've have evidence for the prosicution! Oh well I guess I'll just have to wiat until the exams are over then. Oh well.'

He exits, pursuded by a bear, that has no hair, for like the spring sheep it has been taken to keep, shorn off its hair it is now a bear most bare.

A shock revelation!

Post by Prime Minister Walex on Sat May 31, 2008 8:33 pm

King Wake rounds up the heads of the defense and prosecution. "Gentlemen, if you are willing, we judges are willing to end this whole business now and pronounce our judgment. Is this ok for you?"

Concurrence

Post by Grand Duke Henry on Sat May 31, 2008 8:44 pm

Dieter Hochkatzenburg hurries back to the Courtroom, Nathalie hanging on his arm (and a quintuple of Versace, Prada and Gucci totes hanging on hers).

"Of course this will be sufficient for us, dear King Wake," says the Ravenburger-Morovian politician politely.

"How utterly fantastic that this business will be finished so quickly Your Majesty... oh isn't it delightful!" exclaims his wife vivaciously.

And here is how the judges find the defendant
Of 'Removal of Berrington unlawfully' we find the defendant, not guilty
Of 'Abuse of position' we find the defendant, not guilty
Of 'Warmongering' we find the defendant, guilty
Of 'Breach of the Constitution' we find the defendant, not guilty
Of 'Behaving unlike a true Duetarian' we find the defendant, not guilty
Of 'Crimes against Humanity' we find the defendant, not guilty.
